Of course, since I had this idea, I have not stopped finding more and more activities throughout the country. They are happening in spite of the terrible damage caused by last year's insurrection, which turned a holiday into a day that will live in infamy. These events are still being held, in spite of Covid and mostly virtually, all over this country this year. I found those assertions so disturbed (and disturbing) that I created a new page to showcase our Three Kings Days celebrations - as a way of denying the deniers an opportunity to distort reality. In response to my column on how the January 6 Capitol insurrection has stained the image of our Three Kings holiday, some insurrection-deniers are now claiming that it is no big deal, because, according to their twisted way of thinking, they either believe Three Kings Day is not really celebrated in the United States, or, even worse, that it is not really a Hispanic tradition. ![]()
